The service must be of I!" or larger rigid conduit extending to the service panel. Type S fuses shall be used in fuse panels. 2. Service wire to be not smaller than //2 Type RHVI! orTHW with j;f,4 neutral. The neutral wire shall be unbroken through the meter socket. 3. Meter socket not more than 6 feet above grade or permanent deck. Consult povver company for any exception. 4. Rain tight equipment must be used unless enclosed by four walls of building or basement. 5. Maintain at least 10 feet of clearance at point of sor,rice drop attachment to building. 3 feet of clearance from doors, l,'rlrrlOtJlfS and open porches. \I, 6. Provide at least 2 appliance circuits of ;~12 yare for kitchen, dining and laundry areas. , '> '. 't 7. Ground the frames of ranges, ovens, cooking tops, dryers, electric heaters and all other electrical fixtures, boxes, etc. 8. Grounding type receptacle outlets are required in all locations. The grounding conductor used for the grounding of outlets shall return to the service panel and cormect to the neutral bar. 9. Receptacle outlets shall be installed according to 1962 National Electrical Code which state"': "In every kitchen, dining room, breakfast room, living room, parlor, den, sun room, recreation and bedroom receptacle outlets shall be installed so that no point along the floor line in any wall space is more than six feet, measuring horizontally from an outlet in that space including any wall space two feet ,,"I':i..de or graater and the wall space occupied by sliding panels in exterior walls. II 10. Furnaces using motors shall be served by a separate j~12 circuit and terminate ina switch within 5 feet of the furnace. 11. All connections shall be made in boxes Avoid the use of junction boxes in attics. All boxes must be accessible. 12. Run cables through holes in joists. 13. Duplex convenience outlets shall be Tval:'ed in not less than 'No. 12 wire. Not more than 8 outlets shall comprise one circuit. Whenever light and convenience outlets are combined on a circuit, No. 12 must be used and not more than 10 outlets shall comprise the combination circuit.
