AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the City of
Bremerton, Washington, desires to amend and restate in its entirety
City of Bremerton's 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan
Document.
WHEREAS, the City adopted an employee 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan
adopted by Resolution No. 1649 and amended and restated by Resolution(s) 1871, 1918, and
2)4 A ; and
WHEREAS, the Cite Council desires to amend the plan name in the Bremerton
Municipal Code; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTUN, WASHINGTON,
DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 2.50.050 of the Bremerton Municipal Code entitled
"Deferred Compensation/hlsurance Options" is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.50.050 SLTl'PLEMENTAL RETIREMENT PROGRAM PLAN
The City will contribute a total of four percent (4%) of gross salary to options selected by
each person from. City deferred compensation and/or tax exempt benefits made available through
approved City policies.
SECTION 2. Corrections. The City Clerk and coditiers of this ordinance are
authorized to make necessary corrections to this ordinance including, but not limited to, the
correction of scrivener, clerical, typographical, and spelling errors, references, ordinance
numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto.
SECTIONS. Severahility. If any one or more section, subsections, or sentences
of this Ordinance are held to he unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portion of this ordinance and the same shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. Ef%eti>>e Date. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force ten
(10) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
