SUMMARY: The attached Department of Commerce Local and Community Projects Program Grant
Agreement will provide $252,840 to assist in the renovation of Kitsap Lake Park. This grant will
support scope elements not covered by the two RCO Grants the City was awarded for this project
and include a new accessible children's playground and accessible pathways to access the new play
)rea.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Department of Commerce Grant Agreement; 2) Kitsap Lake Park Master Plan
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This $252,840 grant requires no matching funds
and will be combined with $994k in RCO grants, a $10k Bremerton Parks Foundation grant and
$135k in City cash to fund the estimated $1.39M project.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to authorize the Mayor to enter into the Agreement with the State of Washington Department of
Commerce Grant for the Kitsap Lake Park Renovation Project; and authorize the Mayor to finalize
and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
