AN ORDINANCE of the City Council of the City of
Bremern to, Washinni
gto, repealng Chapter 9.18 of the Bremerton
Municipal Code entitled "No Smoking Signs."
WHEREAS, in 2005 the people of the State of Washington passed Initiative 901
banning smoking in public places and workplaces; and
WHEREAS, the current provisions of Chapter 9.18 of the Bremerton Municipal
Code relating to no smoking signs results in redundancies and conflicts with Washington State
law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal the provisions relating to no
smoking signs; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON,
DOES (ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 9.18 of the Bremerton Municipal Code entitled "No
Smoking Signs" is hereby repealed in its entirety as follows:
