Additional services consist of the following: 1.Additional project management to accommodate extending the project schedule from December 2022 to December 2023. The schedule extension is a contingency to account for an expected lengthy permitting period for the US Corps of Engineers (USACE) permit. Typical permitting periods of 12 to 18 months have been experienced due to staffing shortages at the agency. 2.Modelling and design for modifying the existing design for the Kitsap Way Culvert Replacement project so that stormwater that currently crosses Kitsap Way at approximately 5424 Kitsap Way can be rerouted to discharge to Ostrich Bay Creek at a location just upstream of the new Kitsap Way culvert. This work included the following: a.Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to determine the 100-year design storm flow rates to be diverted and to upsize conveyance elements. b.Perform backwater analysis to confirm hydraulic design. c.Provide topographic survey to support design as described above. d.Revise plan sheets for the Kitsap Way Culvert Replacement project to reflect the design changes. e.Revise the project engineer’s opinion of probable cost. 3.Design effort for modifying the existing design for the Price Road Bridge as requested by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The WDFW request is to lengthen the bridge by 3 feet to provide more scour protection for the eastern abutment. 4.Perform engineering services during construction of the Price Road Bridge and Brentwood Drive Bridge. 5.Perform geotechnical services during construction. 6.Provide technical support for public outreach activities. Work activities are described by task below. A detailed spreadsheet showing a breakdown of individual work elements is provided in attached Exhibit C.
