Archaeological monitoring is required by the funding agency, as determined during the environmental
and cultural review process for the project Oyster Bay Beach Sewer Upgrades. The City reviewed
the Statement of Qualifications from three (3) firms on the Municipal Research and Services Center
(MRSC) consultant roster to provide archaeological monitoring services for the project. Cultural
Resources Consultants was selected, and a fee was negotiated for $59,875. Cultural Resource
Consultants has previously assisted the City on other projects, including preparation of Inadvertent
Discovery Plans and archaeological monitoring.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This project is included in the 2021 Wastewater
Capital Budget and is partially funded by a Department of Ecology Clean Water State Revolving
Fund loan.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Cultural Resource Consultants, LLC to
provide archaeological monitoring services for Oyster Bay Beach Sewer Upgrades in the amount of
$59,875, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions as presented.
