SUMMARY: The City advertised the 2021 City Road Preservation Project and three bids were
opened on April 30, 2021. Doolittle Construction, LLC is the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder
with their bid of $439,768.40, including sales tax. The project provides for chip sealing, slurry
sealing, and micro -sealing multiple locations around the City of Bremerton.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is budgeted at $500,000 in the 2021
Streets Fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to award contract to Doolittle Construction, Inc. for the 2021 City Road Preservation Project in
the amount of $439,768.40; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
