SUMMARY: The City and KPUD entered into a previous Interlocal Agreement in 2014 that outlined
the sharing of fiber optic infrastructure. This amendment builds on the original interlocal agreement
to provide a more formal and strategic working relationship which will result in leveraging the
resources of each agency to expand fiber optic infrastructure with more impact than either entity
could by working alone. The key update is the addition of section 6(g) Communication, which
outlines the relationship between the agencies.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Interlocal Agreement for Sharing Fiber Optic and
Information Technology Services and Infrastructure between Kitsap Public Utility District and the City
of Bremerton; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the amendment with substantially the
same terms and conditions as contained in the proposed Interlocal Agreement Amendment.
