SUMMARY: The World Health Organization advises that environmental noise pollution is
responsible for a range of health affects including increased risk of ischemic heart disease as well as
sleep disturbance, cognitive impairment among children, annoyance, stress -related mental health
risks and tinnitus.
Recognizing these risks and within the limits established by the First Amendment, recommend
Chapter 6.32 be amended to address the problem of noise pollution.
