SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Court is entering into a new contract with Merchant Patrol
Security Services to provide Court Security Services for the courthouse at 550 Park Avenue.
The County notified the Court in February of their intent to cancel all contracted security services as
of March 31, 2021. The court requested bids from potential companies. The anticipated term of the
new contract is set to begin on April 1, 2021 and will run through December 31, 2022,

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Court budget has funds allocated for security.
The contract amount is not -to -exceed $57,000 for 2021 and $75,000 for 2022 (including WA State
Sales Tax).

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Goods and Services Agreement with Merchant Patrol Security Services for
Bremerton Municipal Courthouse Security Services; and authorize the Mayor to finalize execute the
agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
