SUMMARY: The current policy 2-20-6 Electronic Record Policy has been updated to allow for the
inclusion of ESSB 6028 and RCW 1.80,170 and defines the use of electronic signature via approved
software and procedures.
The proposed policy serves to align the City's signature policy with current Washington State law.
The updates are:
1) Allow the use of remote electronic signature software and file management for the purpose of
executing agreements.
2) Allow the use of remote and electronic notary services.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to pass Resolution No. 3336 updating the Electronic Record Policy defining the use of
electronic signatures; and authorizing the Mayor sign Resolution No. 3336 into action to implement
procedural updates to comply with ESSB 6028 and RCW 1.80.170.
