In November 2018, the City executed a contract with Parametrix for the design of the Ostrich Creek
Culvert Replacement Project in the amount of $421,400.00, Contract Modification No. 01 was
executed which extended the contract time, added scope to provide construction engineering
support, and addressed items identified in design in the amount of $ 68,588,00. This proposed
Contract Modification No. 02 increases the contract value by $ 95,660.00 to a new total of
$585,648.00, to include design costs for the concrete girder bridge options for both Brentwood Drive
and Price Road.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount):
The Ostrich Bay Culvert Replacement Project # 869 is funded by a Public Works Trust Fund Loan
($4,687,968) to the Stormwater Fund. This additional cost will be covered by the loan as the
increased cost for design will be offset by lower construction costs for a concrete versus steel bridge.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Contract Modification Agreement No. 2 with Parametrix, Inc., for design of Ostrich
Bay Culvert Replacement Project, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement
with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
