SUMMARY: The action before Council is to conduct a Public Hearing and adopt an Ordinance
amending BMC Title 20 for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) to allow two ADUs per single-family
home lot. The Council already made amendments to the ADU code in December 2020 via Ordinance
5410 to incorporate most of the Planning Commission recommendations. However, the Council
requested that one item, to allow two ADUs per single-family lot, be discussed at a future date.
On March 3, Council will determine if the proposed code changes to allow two ADUs per Single
Family Lot will be adopted following a public hearing.

Move to pass Ordinance No. 5416 to amend Bremerton Municipal Code Section 20.46.010 entitled
"Accessory Dwelling Units" to allow two ADUs per single-family lot per the Planning Commission's
recommendation.
