Project
SUMMARY: In August 2019, the City executed a contract with Parametrix for the design of the
Downtown Bremerton Bicycle/Pedestrian Circulation Improvements Project in the amount of
$30,622.51. One supplement has been executed which added bid support and inspection services in
the amount of $7,496.91. The proposed Contract Modification No. 2 increases the contract value by
$20,745.16 to a new total of $58,864.58 to include design of bike lanes on Austin Dr from Kitsap Way
to Erlands Point Road NW. Adding this scope to the project should provide economies of scale when
advertising for construction.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Contract Modification Agreement Form No. 2 with Parametrix, Inc. 2) Site Plan
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is included in the Transportation
Capital Project Fund at $600K; Downtown Bike Improvements is $450K, and Austin Drive Bike/Ped
Marking is $150K.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Contract Modification No. 2 with Parametrix for design of the Complete Streets —
Downtown Bremerton Bicycle / Pedestrian Circulation Improvements Project; and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented.
