UPGRADE TO FINANCE PRO: Financial Services Director Mike Riley explained that the City is
currently operating on Central Square's FinancePlus 5.0 (on premises) finance system. The City has
been utilizing this platform in the current and previous version for over 30 years. The City engaged in
an upgrade to FinancePlus 5.1 in 2017 (on premises), however, due to the company merging and
change over in personnel at Central Square (previously SunGard), and at the City, the project was
delayed significantly. After reviewing the City's current platform with Central Square, the City was
notified that the 5.0 version was not going to be supported after December 31, 2020 and the 5.1
version was also going to be unsupported at the end of 2021. During negotiations with Central
Square, the City determined moving forward with FinancePro is the best path. This is a new platform
that is hosted by Central Square. This platform is their go-to product for the foreseeable future. The
annual maintenance cost is materially unchanged, however, this change in platform has an upfront
cost of$55,000. Central Square agreed to credit the City $18,000 for payment on the 5.1 upgrade.
