SUMMARY: Human Resources Department has completed a salary surveys on the Community
Development Assistant, Project Assistant, Managing Engineer— Utilities, Managing Engineer—
Transportation, and Administrative Project Manager.
• Community Development Assistant and Project Assistant— upgrade from Grade 10 to Grade 12
• Managing Engineer Utilities and Managing Engineer—Transportation — upgrade from Pay Band
16 to Pay Band 17
• Administrative Project Manager—downgrade from Pay Band 15 to Pay Band 10
ATTACHMENTS: Results from the Community Development Assistant, Project Assistant, Managing
Engineer— Utilities, Managing Engineer—Transportation, and Administrative Project Manager salary
surveys.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The projected cost of implementing the
recommended changes can be absorbed in the existing 2020 budgets because of staffing
changes/retirements.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to accept the Salary Survey Recommendations for Community Development Assistant and

Administrative Project Manager; and to implement those recommendations effective January 1, 2020.
