SUMMARY: The City bid the project using the MRSC Small Public Works Roster, opening bids on
December 3rd, 2019 and 3 bids were received. Slabjack Geotechnical Inc. is the lower responsive,
responsible bidder with their bid of$156,337.95, including sales tax. The project removes trip
hazards at multiple locations around the City by raising sidewalk panels with polyurethane foam
injection (sidewalk jacking), and edge grinding.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This project is budgeted at $70,000 in the 2019
Residential Streets Fund and $100,000 in the Transportation Capital Fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Public Works Agreement with Slabjack Geotechnical, Inc. for the Sidewalk Trip
Hazard Removal Project; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
