SUMMARY: The City of Bremerton and Kitsap County entered into an agreement for Incarceration
of Prisoners on January 22, 2018 ("Agreement"). The Agreement was amended on January 28, 2019
to extend the term to December 31, 2019 and make related changes. The proposed second
amendment to the Agreement extends the term of the Agreement one additional year, expiring
December 31, 2020. For calendar year 2020, the City will pay $115.79 per full bed-day.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The 2020 Budget was adjusted for the new rate.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Second Amendment to the Kitsap County/City of Bremerton Agreement for
Incarceration of City Prisoners; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
