SUMMARY: Tonight's public hearing is to take additional comments on the 2020 Proposed Budget.
Budget workshops were held on October 28, October 30, and November 4, 2019 where an overview
of the Mayor's proposed budget was presented to Council. Public comments will be taken into
consideration before Council adopts a final ordinance.
This is the second of two public hearings on the budget; the first public hearing was held on
November 6, 2019. The attached ordinance represents the final proposed 2020 Fiscal Budget.
If adopted, this ordinance would become effective January 1, 2020.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount):
Total proposed general fund expenditures, without ending fund balance, is $48,074,052. With ending
fund balance, total general fund expenditures are $57,086,629. Total proposed expenditures city
wide, without ending fund balance, is $138,063,858. With ending fund balance, total expenditures
city wide is $180,931,353.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to pass Ordinance No. 5387 approving and adopting the budget for the City of Bremerton for
the fiscal year 2020; and appropriating the amounts set forth in each fund in accordance with RCW
35.33.075.
