CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORKSHOP MINUTES
Monday, October 28, 2019
The Budget Workshop of the City Council of the City of Bremerton was called to order in the
Mayor's Conference Room 637 of the NORM DICKS GOVERNMENT CENTER located at 345 6th Street,
Bremerton, Washington, on Monday, October 28, 2019, at 3:00 PM, with Council President Eric
Younger presiding. Council members present were Richard Huddy, Michael Goodnow, Lori
Wheat, Kevin Gorman, Leslie Daugs, and Pat Sullivan. Also present were Financial Services
Director Mike Riley; and Assistant Financial Services Director Caroline Tompson. Legislative
Office Manager Lori Smith was present to provide staff support to the Council.
President Younger announced that tonight's Budget Workshop was for the Council to hear
presentations on the proposed 2020 Budget. It was further announced that this Budget
Workshop was open to the public, but there would be no opportunities for input or participation;
that no action will be taken, and the content of these items is subject to change.
Financial Services Director Mike Riley began the discussion with a background on the 2020
Budget process, followed by an overview on General Government Funds; and then led the
presentations on all General Fund Departments (except Public Works).
President Younger announced that the next Budget Workshop will be on Wednesday, October
30 beginning at 3:00 PM in the Mayor's Conference Room.
With no further business, President Younger adjourned the Budget Workshop at 5:58 PM.
