SUMMARY:
DOE is providing a no match grant for$95,000 to assist in the implementation and management of
the municipal stormwater program. The overall goal is to improve water quality by reducing
stormwater pollutants discharged to state water bodies.
ATTACHMENTS:
Water quality stormwater capacity agreement between the Washington State Department of Ecology
and City of Bremerton.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount):
A $95,000 no match grant to the Stormwater Utility to assist with implementation of the NPDES
Phase II Municipal Stormwater Permit requirements beginning July 1, 2019 through March 31, 2021.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to accept the 2019-2021 Biennial Stormwater Capacity Grant with the Washington State
Department of Ecology and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
