LaCross & Murphy, PLLC, the current public defense services provider, is recommended to be awarded the agreement. Their proposal provides for a decreased fixed cost with a savings of $25,000 annually, and a year-end reconciling of assigned cases, and payment adjustment as applicable, to insure compliance with State standards for caseloads for these services. ATTACHMENTS: Professional Services Agreement and Exhibit A: Washington State Supreme Court Indigent defense standards dated June 15, 2012. FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $250,000 annually ($20,833.34 monthly) is included in the current budget. A year-end reconciling of cases could result in a year-end budget adjustment.
