SUMMARY: The request before Council is to a replace a totaled Ford Police Interceptor Utility Patrol
Vehicle that was involved in a collision on July 25, 2019. Per Risk Management, this vehicle
(#141407) is totaled. The cost for the"off the lot" vehicle is $53,546.35 including Washington State
sales tax. An additional $5,000 to $7,000 in equipment and labor is necessary to equip the vehicle
for service. We will be utilizing State Contract No. 05916.

Repair Estimate
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The vehicle replacement reserves in Fund 510
ER&R total $31,243.45. Request to private insurance carrier is $21,827.64. Any costs exceeding
reserves &final insurance settlement will be funded by the Police Departments 2019 Operations
budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the purchase of one Ford Interceptor per quote in the amount of$53,546.35
including Washington State sales tax from Columbia Ford of Longview, WA; and authorize an
increase in Fund 510 expenditure budget of$53,546.35 with substantially the same terms and
conditions as presented.
