SUMMARY: The City has been offered funding through the 2019-2021 State Transportation Budget
to design pedestrian improvements to the Warren Avenue Bridge (i.e. Port Washington Narrows
Bridge). The funding amount is $1,500,000 and requires no City match. The design work includes
preliminary engineering and permitting for pedestrian and bike improvements, deck resurfacing, and
additional design on Warren Avenue to the south and north of the bridge. The funding agreement
will utilize WSDOT Standard Forms, with their standard terms and conditions.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The total project design budget is $1,500,000 and
is included in the Transportation Capital Fund. The design is 100% funded with no City match.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to accept Transportation Budget State Funding, and approve the Local Agency Agreement with
WSDOT for the SR 303 Warren Avenue Bridge Pedestrian Improvements Project, and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented.
