HomeMy WebLinkAbout08/21/2019 5K AGENDA BILL 5K CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL SUBJECT: Telecommunications Facilities Study Session Date: August 14, 2019 Lease Agreement Amendment No. 2 with COUNCIL MEETING Date: August 21, 2019 Seattle SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Department: Public Works Verizon Wireless Presenter: Melinda Monroe Phone: (360) 473-5306 SUMMARY: The current Telecommunications Facilities Lease Agreement with Seattle SMSA Limited Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless expired July 31, 2019, and is for the existing north tower on parcel 292401-2-002-2008 located on Water Utility property. SMSA has held this lease since 2004. This Amendment would extend the lease until July 31, 2020, giving the City and ATC time to negotiate a long-term lease. Additionally, this amendment names American Tower as the management agent via Power of Attorney. ATTACHMENTS: Telecommunications Facilities Lease Agreement Amendment No. 2 and Power of Attorney (as support only, not incorporated into the lease). FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): None. The amendment maintains current payment schedule and Lease payments remain the same increasing by CPI for the next 12 months.
