SUMMARY: In 2018, the City received a $3.8M loan from the Department of Ecology for a project
that will improve the sewer collection system along Oyster Bay. The work will install individual
grinder pump stations at approximately 53 private properties, convert a gravity sewer main to a force
main in the marine environment to eliminate lateral connections and associated surcharges, and
include various upland gravity and low-pressure collection system improvements. Based on an
evaluation and interviews of four qualified consultants from the MRSC Consultant Roster, the City
has selected Parametrix to provide design and construction support services for the Oyster Bay
Beach Sewer Upgrades project. The contract amount is $437,006.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement with Parametrix, Inc. in the amount of
$437,006; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same
terms and conditions as presented.
