for the Demolition of Structures at Presenter: Janet Lunceford

SUMMARY: The City obtained a court order to clean up the property located at 1317 N. Lafayette
Avenue. The City solicited bids to demolish the structures at this site. The requested action is to
approve the contract with the lowest responsive bidder, Sound Excavation, Inc.
ATTACHMENTS: Bid Proposal from Sound Excavation, Inc.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The City will file a tax lien on the property.
STUDY SESSION AGENDA: CI Limited Presentation Action anticipated....
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve the contract with Sound Excavation, Inc. in the
amount of $26,160.00 for demolition of structures at 1317 North Lafayette Avenue; and amend the
Abatement Fund professional services budget expenditure authority by the same amount.
