SUMMARY: Stormwater runoff entering Oyster Bay is often contaminated with oils and other
materials that contribute to poor water quality in Oyster Bay; that in turn contributes to poor habitat
for wildlife, including salmon and shellfish. The City was awarded a grant from the Department of
Ecology to treat a portion of the stormwater entering Oyster Bay by installing 4 water quality vaults in
3 locations in West Bremerton.
A contract modification is needed to extend the contract with Parametrix for the completion of the
Marine Drive PS&E and to provide construction engineering services during construction of the
project.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The original not to exceed amount for the contract
was $24,900 and was authorized under the Director's budget authority. The contract modification will
add $34,955, bringing the total contract amount to $59,855. Costs for the construction engineering
services were anticipated as part of the project budget.
