SUMMARY: A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was advertised in April of 2019 for engineering
services for the Warren Avenue Playfield Renovation Project. No responses were received. Parks
and Recreation Department staff then contacted Parametrix, Inc. of Bremerton who had recently
provided like services for the recently completed Manette Park Renovation Project, and entering into
direct negotiations for services.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Funds are available in the Parks Capital
Construction Fund ending fund balance. (Unexpended contingency funds remaining from the
Manette Park Renovation Project)

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Bremerton and
Parametrix, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $75,515.00; authorize an expenditure budget
adjustment in the same amount; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
