SUMMARY: The action before Council is to conduct a Public Hearing and adopt an Ordinance
amending Bremerton Municipal Code (BMC) Title 20 related to Group Residential Facilities,
specifically Class II. The Director of Community Development recently made a code interpretation of
the definition of"Group Residential Facility" that requires immediate amendment of the City's zoning
code. In addition, siting criteria is proposed to the two zones where Class II facilities are allowed
(Industrial and Freeway Corridor zones) that allow Group Residential Facility-Class II housing.
*After City Council discussion at Study Session, the zoning code amendment related to
Manufactured Homes (BMC 20.46.040) was pulled from this item.
