TERMINATING STATE OF EMERGENCY
City of Bremerton
WHEREAS, on March 29, 2019, the Mayor signed a Proclamation
declaring an emergency pursuant to BMC 2.26.210(a) after the City's sanitary sewer force
main, downstream of Sewer Pump Station SB-1, burst on March 28, 2019; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Emergency Proclamation, and local, state and
federal law, the City made purchases and entered contracts for material, equipment and
services necessary and appropriate to address the emergency, without utilizing standard
purchasing requirements under Chapter 2.76 BMC or competitive bidding requirements
under Chapter 39.04 RCW; and
WHEREAS, as of April 11,2019,the emergency situation no longer exists,
as the sewer main has been replaced, and the Mayor is authorized to declare an end to the
emergency event period pursuant to BMC 2.26.210(c); NOW THEREFORE,
THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BREMERTON, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY DECLARE AS FOLLOWS:
The state of emergency proclaimed on March 29, 2019, is hereby
terminated, and April 11, 2019 is the end of the emergency period.
This DECLARATION is executed this 1 I 6day of April, 2019.
