SUMMARY: The City is seeking approval to extend the current Goods and Services Agreement with
Merchant Patrol Security Services, Inc. for security services and patrols for one year, with a
negotiated service rate increase of 1 %, all current/existing conditions and specifications to remain the
same. The prior extension was expected to be the last, but this one year extension will allow the City
Contracts Administer and Facilities Division staff to analyze security services, improvements to
management of the Parking facilities, and will facilitate preparation to bid the work out at the end of
2019 to find the appropriate provider, level of services, and price.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Amendment No. 2 to extend contract #5206
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Total annual cost of contract is $57,607.09 per
year. This amount is included in the 2019 budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve Amendment No. 2 of the Goods and Services

terms and conditions as presented.
