SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Code authorizes the Risk Management Specialist, with the
approval of the City Attorney, to bind insurance and then requires City Council approval for the
continuation of the bound coverage. Insurance for 2019 is bound as follows:
1. Excess Liability insurance with Allied World National Assurance Company at an annual
premium of $169,317 (including terrorism);
2. Excess Workers' Compensation insurance with Midwest Employers Casualty Company at an
annual premium of $49,820; and
3. Crime insurance with Great American Insurance Group at an annual premium of $4,150.
ATTACHMENTS: None.
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Sufficient funds have been budgeted in the Risk
Management Fund for these expenditures for 2019.
