City Attorney's Office — (UAS) Risk Management Presenter: Melisa Vaal Folmer Phone: X360 473 5 302 SUMMARY: The Bremerton Municipal Code authorizes the Risk Management Specialist, with the approval of the City Attorney, to negotiate with insurance brokers and recommend that the City purchase such insurance. It is recommended that the City purchase Aviation insurance with Global Aerospace for the City's drone aka Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The City currently has one UAS. The total annual premium for this UAS would be $534 per year. This Aviation policy would be amended as the City purchases additional UAS to not exceed $2,450 (for up to 10 drones). ATTACHMENTS: FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Sufficient funds have been budgeted in the Risk Management Fund for this expenditure for 2019.
