The existing boat launch and dock have outlived their useful life and are deteriorating rapidly. This grant will be used to replace the boat launch with a new, wider concrete ramp with side shoring and a boarding float with new concrete abutment and ADA compliant pathways. Also included are upgrades to the existing restroom with a new roof, outdoor shower and accessible fixtures, construction of an accessible boat trailer parking stall, and accessible pathways linking the parking lot, boat launch and restroom. This project has been directly shaped by community involvement through meetings with stakeholders and public meetings conducted by the Bremerton Parks & Recreation Commission and department staff.
