SUMMARY: Staff advertised a Request for Statement of Qualifications, and based on an evaluation
of the qualifications received from seven firms, staff has determined Parametrix is the most qualified
to provide the design for the Ostrich Creek Culvert Replacements project. Parametrix will provide
permits, plans, specifications and estimates for the replacement of culverts under Price, Brentwood,
and Kitsap Way. A scope of work was submitted and the contract was negotiated in the amount of
$421,400.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The Ostrich Creek Culverts Replacement Project
is funded by a Public Works Trust Fund Loan ($4,687,968) to the Stormwater Fund, and is in the
2018 budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve the Professional Services Agreement for design of the Ostrich Creek Culverts
Replacement Project in the amount of $421,400.00; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute
the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
