Updated Study Session Date: October 10, 2018 COUNCIL MEETING Date: October 17. 2018 Department: Presenter: Phone: PW&U Tom Knuckey (360) 473-2376 SUMMARY: In 2011 the City executed a contract for Solid Waste, Recycling, and Compostable Organics Collection and Disposal with Waste Management of Washington, Inc.; this contract terminates on December 31, 2018. In January, staff recommended to the Public Works Committee that the City negotiate a new contract with Waste Management, based on satisfaction with the current service. The proposed new contract includes several revisions as outlined in the attached Summary, including enhancements to address customer requests. ATTACHMENTS: 1) Summary of Contract Revisions Updated; 2) Agreement Updated; 3) Exhibit A Updated; and 4) Power Point Presentation Added FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The contract provides an Administrative Fee of $150,000 for 2019, adjusted annually by CPI index.
