SUMMARY: The current Professional Services Agreement with LaCross & Murphy, PLLC expires
on October 31, 2018. The amendment will extend the current contract, as written, for an additional
one year pursuant to an agreement with the City of Bremerton and LaCross & Murphy, PLLC. All
terms from the original Agreement (including compensation) signed on October 23, 2012 will remain
the same.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) Amendment No. 2; 2) Amendment No. 1; and 3) Original Contract
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $275,000 annually ($22916.67 monthly) is
included in the current budget.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Amendment No. 2 extending the contract with LaCross & Murphy, LLC for Public
Defense Services; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially
the same terms and conditions as presented.
