Tax Assessor's account number from tax statement or Assessor's Office. If property has been short plated, provide short plat file number, lot reference, recording number and date recorded. 2. An approved "pert" test from the Health Department or be on sewers with approval. The Bremerton-Kitsap County Health Department is located at 109 Austin Drive, Bremerton. Phone number is 478-5285. Health Department approval is also necessary when construction will involve additional bedrooms. 3. Current address of property (can be applied for at this office) and directions to the site. (Attached map if helpful.) 4. In some cases when a lake, stream, pond, marsh, swamp, etc., is on the property, an Environmental Checklist Worksheet may be required with appropriate fee. 5. Copy of a plot plan, drawn. -to scale on a minimum 82- x 11" sheet (see sample). Show the shape and size of the lot, the location and size of all existing and proposed buildings on the lot. The location of the septic tank and drainfield or sewer if available. Note the name, width and direction of street. Indicate all setbacks and northerly direction. For minimum setback requirements contact the Planning Department. Show all decks, porches, roof overhangs, patios and other projections, into side yards. If property is on waterfront, show adjacent properties and structures, and reference by name all water bodies on the property both natural and man-made with distances from proposed structure. 6. Two (2) copies of building plans are required --one (1) set of which will be marked "approved" and returned to the applicant; the second set of plans are kept by this department. Plans must be indelible reproductions such as blueprints. They must be drawn to scale in an architectural manner. They need not be drawn by an architect or designer. 7. The application for plumbing, mechanical and electrical permit is not included on the building permit application but may be issued simultaneously, therefore, it is neces- sary to know what plumbing fixtures will be installed and the type of heating system as well as the size of the furnace and the name and license number of installer. Complete the application in duplicate and submit both copies along with building plans, plot plan and Environmental Clearance Worksheet, if necessary. There are two separate fees for each building permit, which are based on the square footage of the structure. The plan check fee covers the cost of having the building plans inspected to determine code compliance and is payable when application is made. The building permit fee covers the cost of the inspections made on the site and is payable at the time the permit is issued. The plumbing, mechanical and electrical permit fees are in addition to the building permit fees, and a permit number is given. An electrical permit will be necessary at some point in the construction. This can be obtained at the Department of Labor and Industries, 2817 Wheaton Way, Suite 208 (Sheridan Plaza) 478-4921. (Left on Sheridan Road, off Warren Avenue Bridge, second driveway on right.) FLOOR PLANS: Should be drawn at a scale of 1/4"=1' (1"=4') and should show the arrangement of partitions and rooms, location of plumbing fixtures, appliances, cupboards, windows (show sizes), doors, chimneys and the size, directions and spacing of structure beams, rafters, ceiling joists or trusses. If trusses are to be used, supply manufacturer's eingineering on all trusses. FOUNDATION PLANS: Drawn at a scale of 1/4"=1' or 1/8"=1" and show the size and shape of the foundation wall; the size and location of beams, posts, footings, air vents or windows, access hold or stairway and the size, directions and spacing of floor joists. Ir' CROSS SECTION: Drawn at a scale of 1/4'=1.' or 1/2'=1' and show the method of framing, roof pitch, roof braces, amount of overhang, ceiling heights, bearing partitions, posts, beams, foundation, finish grade and excavation. Show sizes and types of all materials. If applicable, show cross section of stairs showing rise, run, landing and headroom. ELEVATIONS: Main elevation drawn at 1/4"-11; others, heights at 1/8"=1' or larger. Show type, sizes and spacing of all exterior materials, windows and other details.
