HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/19/2018 5G AGENDA BILL CITY OF BREMERTON CITY COUNCIL 5G SUBJECT: Change Order No. 2 with MJ Study Session Date: September 12, 2018 Hughes Construction, Inc. for the West COUNCIL MEETING Date: September 19, 2018 Belfair Valley Road and Tracyton Beach Department: Engineering Road Innovative Safety Project Presenter: Shane Weber Phone: (360)473-2354 SUMMARY: Construction of the Belfair Valley Road and Tracyton Beach Road Innovative Safety Project is complete, and the attached final pay application details the final quantities to be paid for the project. The total construction cost with MJ Hughes is $1,320,828.97, including Change Order No. 2 which adds pavement markings (RPM's) on the center line striping on West Belfair Valley Road, changing sign posts to match City standards, and restocking returned guardrail that was not used on the project due to utility conflicts. Note that all costs are within the project budget and 100% grant funded without City match. ATTACHMENTS: 1) Change Order No. 2; and 2) Final Pay Application (August Pay Application) FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This project is funded by a Federal Safety Grant in the amount of$1,675,490; there is no City match to this grant. The original construction contract amount was $1,149,761.05, Change Order#1 increased the contract by $84,477.00, and Change Order#2 increases the contract by$46,947.74. Increases in item quantities result in a final contract amount of$1,320,828.97. Other project costs (Design, Construction Management, etc.)total $327,122. All project costs will be fully funded by the grant.
