SUMMARY: Contract Modification No. 1 amends the Professional Services Agreement with BHC
Consultants for engineering services associated with the Sewage Pump Station CW-4 and OF-12
Modifications. The additional services include increased design services and environmental
permitting which will allow decommissioning of gravity beach sewers between Chester Avenue and
High Avenue. The added work will include installation of grinder pumps on private properties and
construction of a 4" forcemain along 17th Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The work is fully funded in the Wastewater
budget. The original contract amount was $260,760; Contract Modification No. 1 increased the
contract by $86,748 for an amended contract amount of$347,508.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve Contract Modification Agreement No. 1 with BHC Consultants, LLC for the Sewage
Pump Station CW-4 Upgrade and OF-12 Modifications in the amount of$86,748; and authorize the
Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as
presented.
