SUMMARY: The City has received a $92,000 Ecology Stormwater Financial Assistance Program
(SFAP) grant to pay for the purchase, operation, and maintenance of a Compact High Efficiency
Sweeper. The sweeper will be small enough to access sidewalks, parking garages, the boardwalk,
and other areas that the larger street sweepers cannot clean.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): $92,000 total project cost is funded with $69,000
from the Ecology grant and $23,000 matching funds from Stormwater Capital Fund 484.
This purchase has been identified in the 2019 Storm Water Utility Capital fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to accept the Washington State Department of Ecology Stormwater Financial Assistance
Program Grant for the High Efficiency Compact Vacuum Sweeper; and authorize the Mayor to
finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
