SUMMARY: The Janitorial Services Contract of Public Works & Utilities has expired. The City is
seeking to accept the Washington State Contract for Janitorial Services to obtain the best available
pricing for these services. The Washington State Contract is with Varsity Facility Services, Auburn
Washington. The Department requests approval of the Janitorial Services Contract No. 00508 for
one year from August 6, 2018 to August 5, 2019. In addition, requests authority for the Public Works
Director to authorize four additional one year extensions, for a total of five one year extensions.

Order for Janitorial Services (typical of all other City location janitorial work contracts)
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): Funds are budgeted for the current budget year
and would be budgeted for the remaining term of the contract. $66,490.367 annual cost with potential
increases based on prevailing wage and minimum wage increases.
