SUMMARY: The attached Memo of Understanding with the National Recreation and Park
Association (NRPA) is to confirm approval and acceptance of a $30,000 award for the Manette Park
Improvement Project. The Meet Me at the Park Play Spaces grant, made possible through the
support of The Walt Disney Company, will provide increased access to inclusive play and physical
activity for kids and families. NRPA will manage the grant and distribute the funds; and there is no
required match for this grant.
ATTACHMENTS: 1) NRPA Memo of Understanding
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The 2018 Parks Capital Construction Fund
Revenue and Expenditure Budgets will be adjusted by $30,000 respectively.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with substantially the same terms
