Pursuant to Section 21 of the City Charter and Section 2.19.020 of the Bremerton Municipal Code, the Chief of Police shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council. Employee is currently serving as Interim Chief of the Police Department and the Mayor desires to officially appoint him to the position of Chief of Police. BMC 2.50.034 authorizes adjustments to benefits established for professional and management employees pursuant to an employment contract approved by the City Council. ATTACHMENTS: 1) Employment Contract 2) Salary Comparison Worksheet FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): There are sufficient funds in the 2018 budget to cover the cost of this Contract.
