SUMMARY: Section 21 of the Bremerton City Charter requires confirmation by Council of
appointments of appointive officers including the City Clerk.
Per BMC 2.50.032 (a), City Council approval is required when setting a new employee's initial salary
at a rate which exceeds rate one (1). It is proposed that Angela's salary be set at rate two (2).
She was hired by the City of Fife as their Deputy City Clerk in January of 2016 and then promoted to
City Clerk in 2017. From June 2014 through December 2016 she worked for Pierce Transit as their
Assistant to the CEO/Deputy Clerk of the Board. From June 2006 through May 2014 she worked for
the City of Bremerton as an Office Assistant Senior. Ms. Woods has her Bachelor's Degree from the
University of California.
