SUMMARY: This Agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation provides the
foundation for the City to take lead on the SR -303 Corridor Planning Study, which was funded by the
Legislature in April of this year.
ATTACHMENTS:
1) Planning Study Agreement; 2) Exhibit A
FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The study was funded by the State at $450,000,
with the city contributing $50,000. Part of this grant match will be provided through necessary City
investment of staff time and fund balance in the Transportation Capital Projects Fund.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to authorize approval of a Special Transportation Study Agreement with the Washington State
Department of Transportation, and authorize the Mayor to finalize and execute the agreement with
substantially the same terms and conditions as presented; and further authorize a budget adjustment
of $500,000 in expenditures and $450,000 in grant revenue in the Transportation Capital Projects
Fund.
