SUMMARY: The project will rehabilitate approximately 10,000 lineal feet of sanitary sewer and 1500
lineal feet of storm sewer using the cure -in -place -pipe (CIPP) method.
There was one bid submitted which was opened on May 11, 2018. The lowest responsive,
responsible bidder was Insituform Technologies, LLC, who submitted a bid in the amount of
$863,288.70. The bid amount was subsequently revised to $864,400.52 including Washington State
sales tax due to an error that was corrected.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The project is included in the 2018 Capital Budget
($900,000 from wastewater and $150,000 from stormwater)

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to award the contract for the 2018 Sewer Rehabilitation to Insituform Technologies, LLC in the
amount of $864,400.52 including Washington State sales tax; and authorize the Mayor to finalize and
execute the agreement with substantially the same terms and conditions as presented.
