SUMMARY: Work is set to begin to finalize the interior building improvements for the City's
recently -purchased space in the Norm Dicks Government Center. The last phase involves work on
the east end of the fifth floor to accommodate Information Services and the Prosecutors. We are
asking for $120,000 of budget authority to do this work.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): This phase of the work was not budgeted for
2018 and will require a budget adjustment. Staff is recommending that funding for this project be
sourced from the City's Real Estate Excise Tax.

RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to approve a budget adjustment to increase the General Fund Facilities expenditure budget by
$120,000, to modify Norm Dicks Government Center fifth floor space for the City's Information
Services staff and the City's Prosecuting Attorney staff, with a transfer of revenue from Real Estate
Excise Tax receipts (Fund 308) in the same amount.
