SUMMARY: Work to modify the City's recently -purchased space in the Norm Dicks Government
Center is entering its final stage. The project will exceed the expense budget originally established in
2017, but is still within the revenue generated with the transfer of assets. Council authorization is
needed to enable the 5th floor furniture order to proceed and other final elements of the work to be
wrapped up. This request is for a project budget adjustment to $637,079 for phase I which includes
first, fifth and sixth floor work not including IS/Prosecutors on fifth floor.

FISCAL IMPACTS (Include Budgeted Amount): The established project expense budget was
$495,000 in 2017. This expense budget will be carried forward into the 2018 budget. The difference
between the revenue available for this work $637,079 and the $495,000 project budget was credited
to the General Fund, and currently resides in fund balance.
